The Theta Upsilon chapter of Phi Mu Alpha was in charge
of the music, risers, and music stand on the tour of the
Delta Singers Tour Choir of 1964. Many Sinfonians
participated.

On May 12, 1964, Theta Upsilon initiated a pledge class of
five members. They are from left to right: Ronnie Wilson; Charles
Bateman; John McDonald; Harold Smith; and Wendell Cox. |
Music is not the only thing in a Sinfonian's life; some
even like to play baseball. Below is pictured the Delta
State Baseball team with one of its star players.
STATESMEN ROLLING ALONG—The 1964
Delta State College baseball squad is currently on the road.
This afternoon and tomorrow they play the University of Southern
Mississippi at Hattiesburg. Earlier this week, they
faced the Western Division leaders in the Southeastern Conference,
the Ole Miss Rebels. Next Wednesday afternoon they return
to the Delta diamond to face Arkansas A & M. The
first pitch will be thrown at 2:30. Pictured from left,

State for the Pep Band which is made up of Sinfonians.

The Pledge Class for the 1964 fall term were
Gene Aldridge, Hugh Jackson, Dr. Robert Calder, Tony Franks,
John Burke, James Hall, and Wayne McDonald. They initiated
on Dec. 10, 1964. Some of the casualties of the pledge
basketball game were John Calcote, Jerry Wilkinson, and Billy
Shields.
